Expanded Product Range
The Toyota PROACE CITY will start sales in early 2020, joining the PROACE medium duty van, the “indestructible” Hilux pick-up, and the legendary Land Cruiser in Toyota’s LCV line-up. The PROACE CITY will be a competitive and appealing addition to the Compact Duty Van (CDV) segment, expanding Toyota’s product coverage in the LCV market. It offers designed-in practicality with excellent load and loading length capacity – one of few models that can carry two EURO-pallets. It also has three seats in the front-cabin, making it an attractive offering for customers.
Toyota has long been a leader in the electrification of their fleet and with the LCV segment Toyota is no different. Toyota will offer a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) version of the PROACE and PROACE CITY. This will especially benefit businesses that spend a lot of their time in urban areas, and allow Toyota meet customers’ changing business needs. These EV versions of the PROACE and PROACE CITY will have a phased introduction, from the end of 2021.
“The expansion of our LCV offering and future electrification plans show our commitment to focusing on the LCV market. With customers at the centre of the strategy, we want to offer practical, stylish and innovative products to meet the range of LCV customers’ needs. We know that their van is a vital part of their business and Toyota is here to support them. We are looking forward to the launch of the new PROACE CITY to Ireland in early 2020 and expanding our commercial offering.”
Irish pricing and specifications of the new PROACE CITY will be released in Q4 2019.
